I have Victa 2 stroke lawn mower. It's approx 15 - 20 yrs old. The other day i was cutting the grass and it stopped dead. The spark plug was foulded. I replaced the plug with a new plug. Still no spark. I took the top off and cleaned the points and re gapped it. I checked the spark once again but it was weak. The mower started. I would like to know how to check the coil and the capaciter. I have a Multi meter Thank you for any suggestions.

If you have weak spark then it has to be the condenser. The coil will produce no spark if it is bad, unless its intermidant. It could be a totally different problem also.
