Hello I have an old Victa Commando which has no throttle control,it is either revving its head off or if I pull the throttle back it idles down to a slow idle even if I bump the throttle a fraction it starts over revving again. Any suggestions?

Blocky, I think you need to pull the carby down (check for cracks) and also have a look at the 'O' rings. Also check the fuel flow from the tank to the carby.
