Hi I picked up many months ago a victa mustang 20, self propelled, keystart and v60 2 stroke engine package. I bought it for a score, $40. I've bought it back to life but it's missing the catcher. I can't find one anywhere so I imagine there aren't too many of these beauties anymore. So I'm going to attempt to find something similar, and modify, plastic weld,to make it look as close to original as possible. Could someone be so kind and post a few photos from someone who has the original catcher, especially of the cutout required for the self propelled gearbox. Cheers

Hello Pavdoum, and welcome to the ODK forum.
I think i have one out there somewhere, i'll have a look tomorrow and post some pics for you, if i can find it.
Feel free to post some pictures of your machine if you like, as it is a fairly rare model. A Mustang 20 (aka 505)with SP and keystart weren't exactly the run of the mill everyday choice for most mower users.
Instructions on how to post pics can be found here HERE

Thanks bigted hopefully you can find it, those photos will be hugely appreciated and will be extremely helpfull to get this beauty running again. Ive looked on the internet and can't seem to find anything but a horrible pixilated photo. Hate to see these great machines go to the scrap heap. Cheers

Catcher Part No GC11728A suits Mustang 20" 505 self propelled. Seems they're still available either from victa or here https://www.[Censored].com.au/grass-catcher-50-single-vent-505-gc11728a.html

I wonder if you can get the NON self propelled version as N.O.S item?

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

At $161 I can't see too many people racing out to buy them

$80 seems realistic.
