Hi Bruce do you know where i can get the hammertone paint for my toe cutter or know anyone who can paint her for me?
I have an export model as well and want to match the red also if the cowling / tank is red too.

dristo72, You need Avocado green for the old Victa and you should be still able to get it from your local paint shop.  I am not sure on the type of red paint.

Hi,
The paint you need is manufactured by Galmet and as Bruce has said the colour is Avocado green. I know where you can get it in Sydney but am unsure about Brisbane. Best bet is to try the paint shops in the yellow pages and see if they stock Galmet.
Bunnings don't carry Galmet and other hardware shops can be hit or miss.

One of our local paint shops here in Bundaberg has the original paint codes and can mix Avocado Green Hammertone as required, The smallest they will mix is 1 lt.
Sold all the Victa's now into Rovers, have 2, need more.

yeah sure dristo72, The shops name is Paint Place and there phone number is 07 4151 6133 and they are located at 14A Maryborough Street BUNDABERG QLD 4670. If you have a look in the restoration pics, You'll see mine which is painted in the paint I purchased from them.

Breadman your a champ, I picked up today few cans of the galmet and have on order 4litre tin. Thanks bud, now i will be soon finishing my mower and will put my pics up for you to see too. Was holding off till i got the right paint.
