As you say, there doesn't seem to be much information around on these older Kubotas. Which makes me suspect that parts availability will be a problem, too.
Their current models have Mitsubishi 2-stroke and Honda 4-stroke engines fitted, so it's likely that older model engines were from outside suppliers.
