Hi there i have a oleo mac gs 260 and it is idleing really high, chain is running quater to half speed, i cant find any info on how to adjust the carburator screws to make it idle better? There are 3 screws 1 with a L next to it and one with a H and the other with a T. Thank you

Hi peter.try turning the L screw anti clockwise a quarter of a turn.could be sucking air,or blocked carby.but need to start somewhere.have you tried turning idle screw anti clockwise?

If it just started doing it all of a sudden it is most likely sucking air somewhere causing it to run lean. Check for loose carby bolts, broken gasket, but good chance your problem is cranckcase seals on the main bearings.

There are a few steps involved in tuning a chainsaw, and they have to be done in the right sequence.
The three adjustment screws on your carby are: L - low speed fuel/air mixture; H - high speed mixture; T - throttle opening at idle.

As aussietrev says, first check for problems around the carby itself.

Then, follow the procedure detailed in this online how-to - it's really good, and includes a couple of audio clips.
