I have acquired a greenfield 12-30 and had no manual for it. I needed to replace the drive belt so I, stupidly, started removing what I thought I needed to to get at the belt. Long story short, I have 3 bits left over when I put it back together again.

I have photos of the 3 parts:

I assume that the first part is a brace of some sort and I can not ID it on the parts diagram I obtained. The other 2 are listed as "stiffeners' on the chassis parts diagram.

I have looked all over but I can not figure out where the parts go.

Some assistance would be much appreciated.

regards,
Wayne

G'day Wayne and a warm welcome. Sorry mate I am of no use to you here but there are a few Greenfields blokes around and I'm sure they can help you out.

Sorry Wayne I had a 12-30 that I did a heap of work on but I didn't have to pull the deck out of it because the previous owner had had the bearings and belts replaced just before I got it

I have a 10.5/30 (evolution III) from around mid 1990's I think. It now has a 12hp B&S on it. I have changed the drive belt multiple times and the cutter belt once. I don't recognise any of those bits, but then I had a manual to go on for the belt changes. Maybe a photo of the whole mower so I can see if it looks similar?

I'm not sure how close the Evolution is to the Anniversary, haven't had a close look over one because they are out of my price range

Recycling and Repairs
Good morning Wayne.
Can you locate the model identification plate for the mower and provide the details?
The best I have found, with basic information, is a Greenfield 30" deck for sale on eBay, which you may be able to identify the parts you have.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GREENFIELD-30-DECK-RIDE-ON-MOWER-/201543161274?hash=item2eece895ba:g:RocAAOSw5VFWQELt

The first photo they have is an overhead view and may help identify your cutting deck. The support bracket may be part of the assembly to the left of the centre spindle. The 5th photo shows a support bracket, which appears to look like yours, that is mounted on the right hand side near the chute and goes toward the front (or back) of the deck toward the wheel, forming a triangle. The one under the piece of chain.

As there are no bolt holes on the two "Stiffeners", and looking at the both ends on the bottom photo, this could indicate they may be held in place by some other cross-mounting. Maybe have a look under the machine and see if you can spot an area that is clean where these may have been mounted?

Without the actual model identification details of the machine, this is all speculation, but may help.
