hello all you boffins out there. does anyone have any idea the original colour for this mower [Linked Image]

i dont know but the best i have seen is green.
i was going to sandblast it first then rust prime it so that will take a while/
yes it is the wrong exhaust.
i hope i dont break it

Hi Sean

I think that may be lost to history.
Every Amplion I have seen is different.

I suspect your Amp is close to the second image(below).
... It is a sort of aqua (?).

Just take some paint samples.
It may be that in the year 2150 Bunnings will use their paint spectrometer
to identify the original colour. In the meantime, just do your best.

The remaining colour on your HB bracket looks fairly accurate from the few ive seen...2 types of aqua appear most common. Remove the bracket and see whats underneath or Cut and polish you handlebar bracket to bring back its lustre and get it matched to that colour...:)

what a top tip, cut and polish. funny thing is, i have another one the same and it has black handles and a white base?? i recon the aqua green looks great. thanks again.
