g'day im 15 and iv got a villiers engine of wich i dont know what model or hp it is but i think its around 5 hp. i can send a picture. it has a cowling which goes round the side over half the cylinder head. i cant get it to fire though its got a beautiful spark and everything seems in perfect order. iv stripped and put it back together with new gaskets and everything i put ether in the cylinder and i tried everything i can think of. the piston is flat. if anyone can i help on how i can get it to run or what kind it is i would be very happy. thanks

Hi Liam h, Can you post a picture so that we might be able to help. We have quite a few manuals on the villiers motors that has tech help as well. I have also worked on quite a few villiers motors in the past.

Liam h, What diameter is the cylinder? We have information on villiers in the parts list and manuals area. Have you checked the key way in the flywheel as that could be damaged and throw the timing out and cause it not to start.

ok il check what the diameter is. i think thats fine but if i can find out what the timing is it would be good, iv tried top dead center and about twenty five degrees before tdc but i dont think thats right, i think thats the four strokes. thanks!

sounds like compression might be low,or no fuel getting through,send picture will look at an old book i have
