Paul in my small amount of experience i will go out on a limb and call it as a victa 18 model 5 series 3. i dont think the motor is original, nice score for 30 bucks man. Sean
Hey Paul perhaps a point of interest I was poking around the boneyard in Geelong the other day and found an 18 with engine number AC 65797. She is in a pretty sad way.
Slash, Providing it hasn't had water in it, pull the motor, put in a set of bearings, seals and maybe a set of rings, should be good to go for another 50 years but then if it doesn't rain up your way it will be good for at least another 100 years or when we can't get petrol anymore
I haven't picked it up I'm still debating it. It is the proud owner of a single wheel and that's moth eaten. She's pretty run down and well raided. I took the engine number to see if I could work out if it happened to be quite early I would have snaffled it straight up. When I was looking at this thread I noticed they're [Censored] near twins.
Now a bloke can't argue with logic like that. I do have a plan for a classic style alloy base mower and my scout it too pitted............looks like i might need it more than i realised. Although it will probably cost $15 in scrap and your flash one was $30
