Hi after some info, Have a Stihl FS 80 weedeater about 15+ years old was going great, then began to get harder to get started, have done the following, put new carbie kit in, replaced spark plug and condenser, has plenty of spark, will run only if you keep pressing the primer under carbie and runs at very high revs, as if it is starving for fuel, also put anotherb carbie on it, did the same, the seals look good, any thoughts would be appreaiated Thanks, Owen

Owen,

Ok what I want you to do is replace the fuel filter in the tank and also check the fuel lines if they feel tacky and if so replace them as well.

Also did you replace the fuel filter screen in the carby (it is under the cover that has one screew).

We have information on the carby under parts list and manuals area for the correct setup when replacing the diaphragms.

Let me know what happens after you have done that. cheers2
