Hi, i have a victa base and it is alloy, it only has 3bolt holes on the bottom. Has victa written in white, looks like a sheerline, but im a bit puzzled as to why it only has the 3 bolt holes and not 4?? Also, i am chasing a sheerline top, to a model 6 or 9, if anyone has one they would like to sell, cheers

Hi Deano The base you have with 3 holes had a bracket which bolted to the three holes and in turn had a 4 stroke Kirby moteor on . I can email you a pic of 2 of these type bases just for the record. Some of the had another hole about 1 1/4 inch diameter and that make it looas though a 7F villiers motor was used but this was not so . The big hole was to have acces to the oil drain bolt on the 4 stroke motor I may still have one of the adaptor pltes for this model and if you are at all interested I will have a look around for it Cheers Joe Brown

Hi Deano I have sent the pics again afew days ago . I can and will send them ahgain if need be. The adaptor plate apparently belongs to a close member of the Sheerline The Victa 4 Star..... If you have access to the Green Victa parts book and looka at the Four Star you can see the adaotor base on the illustration . I did not think to go thru the parts pages to see if it was listed but I will do so later Cheers Joe

Hi Deano There is no reference to the Mounting plate all like the one I took off a Four Star. . The book does make some refernce though to some parts which were superceded and I can only assume this plate is one such part. Not really sure if I still have the plate or if it went in the scrap , I will have a look around . It would have to be acollectors item LOl Cheers Joe

Hi Deano Iam still trying to sort out how to navigat around this website. You will be welcome to the adaptor plate if I find it,but remember it is a 3 stud type, and there is no reference to it in the Victa Green book. .Thee Vict GB which I shall refer to now as the VGB shows Sheerline base with 4 mounting holes . I still dont know if you got the pics I sent of 2 old chassis with the 3 hole mounting. I sent them to Bruce also and thought he may have put them on , I dont suppose they are of a lot of interest to some people though as we are talking about the past and there is little hope of ever finding out much about these really old items. The VGB book is not alot of help with some of the early stuff as it seems they were prepared to drop models out of production and move on as though nothing had happened . The only chance of picking up some good info is from the early advertising stuff and jsut keep on asking around Cheers for now

Hi Deano I have sent you the pics of the Sheerline base with the 3 holes and also the same thing but with th extra hole for accessing the drain plug . I thought you may have been able to send them to the pics on this site. . I know its not everybody"s cup of tea, but it is a bit of history on Victa which is not common knowledge. Cheers Joe
