Hey guys, I'm looking for one of these rare metal Side Extractor Chute accessories to fit my 70's Victa Mustang 160cc Green machine...

..anyone have a Side Extractor Chute accessory they don't need or would like to sell me one, I'm interested!

Detachable Rear Ejector Chute.

There is a VC Mustang on ebay with a side shoot at the moment.

Ok Pete, we have a problem here because the one you have sent me does not fit because the top flange that slides into the main rear flap access slot is too wide and in the wrong spot!

...have a look at the image below and see the flange width difference as marked in YELLOW and the off position is marked by BLUE on both models of chute.

I guess that there can't be too much of a difference here so what model is it for beside my 70's Mustang?

I'm thinking it must be the one for the later models...

The one you have pictured on the left is for the VC-125's & VC-160's only. I'll have a look at some of my manuals and see if I can give you more of an idea as to what is what.

Ok, I have since got out the angle grinder and trimmed it up to fit neatly. It now fits perfectly like new and it performs beautifully!

I will post up some pics showing the required mini-cuts and bends to get it to a snug fit.

I was lucky in that it only required the removal of excess flashing and not the addition of any new metal...

Thank's Pete! A quick zap with the angle grinder and "hey presto" one new Victor Chute for that overgrown barley under the trees...

Yes, I'm very happy with the result and if anyone else needs one of these 'Squizzy' has a few new ones left for the taking.

nice job there Bert, and your grass looks great too, the old Victa still does a top job

I had to make another separate cut and bend to stop the chute from bumping off the mower. It's very simple, secure and works well but you will have to wait for a picture to understand what is required...

Where can I get one of these?

G'day Nolan I was lucky enough to find one at the tip shop for $2.

i still have a couple of new ones if you carnt find a $2 one nolan....
just check Berts post above to see which one you need, if you dont
want to modify

Just curious Squizzy what are they worth to you and what do the ones you have fit?

about $30 from memory slash, and they where for the vc's, being black,
i had some of the earlier green ones somewhere to,
from what bart found , with a little modifying they can be made to fit,

Do you know if the VC ones fit all the high arch Victas? I have a green and a black one but I'm pretty sure they're both for early low arch units.
