I was using the wifes mower to make woodchips out of up to 20mm eucalypus sticks, was working fine filled the catcher with chips in about 3 mins, untill, on the second catcher empty, she came out. So i got myself barred from her mower. so i was thinking i have an awesome fullcrank, if i put it on a base i dont need with new blades real sharp and catcher should substitute, her mower is 4 stroke 4hp techumsha?
I recon if hers did it i can make one?
Any ideas would be great, it would save me heaps of work.
Sean.

2 strokes work at any angle , you have a grinder !!! balance a bit of spring steel and wear a bullet proof vest :bigshock:

I have a plan ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2015/09/full-9141-23783-dscf4929.jpg) The one on the left is in great condition the one on the right has cracks in the frame. not self propelled yet but the motor is mad and with 4 new sharpened blades. so i was going to use that one. basically i want to rake everything from the gardens(its quite bad) onto the path and have her mow up and down and then shovel the mulched stuff back onto the garden. It worked perfectly with her mower. I recon the fullcrank has enough power. Sean

I like the plan, especially the bit where you get her to mow the debris with yourself, I take it, at a safe distance with a cold beer and 000 programmed into your phone?

Masport actually made a mower with a chipper/shredder built into the deck and it had a second smaller bar blade further up the engine shaft to assist with this.
I recently got rid of the one I did have, horrible machine to use in all aspects.
Unless using a machine actually designed for a job I wouldnt attempt to make one, its just not worth it if somone gets hurt in the long run.

IT WORKED. Smashed it all to bits. went over it a few times and it turned it into dust. next time will wear safety glasses!!! took your advice, well sort of, did it myself. she did the top of the property and i did the bottom. one hour going flat out. the lady does not recognise her place. she is stoked. but it worked, mighty dangerous though Sean
