Hi, got a Honda in reasonable nick, not going. Cleaned out cats pi$$ in carb and fuel tank, adjust choke mechanism, got recoil start working properly, put in oil and started first pull..... To find a horrible knock that gets worse under load. Ran it for under 5 secs to confirm it was a bad knock.
Question...is it terminal? Is it worth pulling apart? Is it likely to be big end only or do Hondas chew the crank?
Never glad to do any major work to a Honda because most sane humans put at least some oil in the motor!
All input appreciated....

dont think you need to be a Honda expert to reconize a bad knock Diesel......if it sounds terminal it probably is.
the only thing i would look for is silver in the oil, that would indicate it;s RS, if it;s ok, then take the sump off and have a look.
just remember..........a stuffed Honda is just as stuffed as a stuffed Briggs. wink wink
