G'day everyone,
I've got a mid '70s Victa Mustang with the ubiquitous black & white plastic carburettor.
This carbie has become very stiff... to the point where the throttle wire bends double instead of opening up the throttle.
I have pulled it apart, cleaned it, inspected it as best I know how, and put it back together, but the blasted thing is still sticking.
Can anyone suggest a remedy for this problem??

Regards,
Rod

Ozducati,

What you need to do is replace the throttle cable and when you do make sure that the end with the ball on it does not get bent when install into the carby.

In the parts list and manuals area it has directions in how to install the cable. cheers2

Thanks for the reply Bruce, unfortunately I am denied access to the manuals area. I am already registered (obviously), so is there some initiation test that I must pass before I can view the manuals?

Regards,
Rod.
