Hi,
I have a Rover green 4 stroke with a B&S 3.5hp motor with a Pulsa prime carbie. The mower starts and runs ok for about half an hour but occasionaly conks out. Noticed that as it started to conk out the pulsa prime bulb slowly deflated and appear to be sucked hard up against its seat. After the engine stopped and by pushing on the side of the bulb it went back to its round state and the motor started and ran ok for a while. Assuming a blockage I pulled the carbie down and gave a thorough blowout, but this does not appear to have solved the problem. Any thoughts, or has anyone had this problem and solved it. I am suspecting that the prima bulb has perished and may need replacing.

rollo,

Ok in the carby did you take the primer button off and remove the small ball bearing and spring to clean.

If not you will need to do that and clean it as it would appear that you have some dirt in that area. Also you might need to replace the spring and ball bearing. cheers2

Hi Bruce,
Thanks for getting back so quickly. Yes I did remove the spring and ball bearing and blew out the hole. So your suggestion may be right about a new spring and BB. Can you supply?
