ive had this victa commodore for a long long time. but before i get to that! i purchased a victa commando as new when i 1st got married. it was the basic and cheapest model victa at that time. ive had it ever since and it has never let me down. i only ever had to replace the electronic chip on it when it was still new.
my brother in law purchased this commodore at the same time however the commodore was the elite version. it had bigger ball bearing wheels, better looking cowl etc. the motor was better (v 40) not the (v35) only i dont know what the difference between it and the commando were?
anyway i inherited his mower as it rusted out pretty quickly from new.
i recently found a cheap replaceable base for the rusted.
so this is where i am at with it so far.its been stripped and now sits primed until i can eventually get to finishing it properly.
i couldnt find any info at all on the commodore on the internet?

You see a lot of steel base Victa's rusted out in that spot.
the vortex created by the blade plate throws the grass up into that corner.
If left there, the wet grass rusts it from the inside out.

Great story Gizmo, you have saved it.
