Morning all,
Trying to figure this out for the husband as its starting to frustrate both of us.
We brought a 4012tx ride on 8 months ago.
It's been great until somehow, something went wrong and my husband ended up in the garden.
After I stopped laughing we got the ride on and him out of the garden and back up the drive.
Since then the thing wouldn't start, so we have;
1/ changed the battery
2/ replaced the solinoid ( is that what it's called?)
3/ replaced the starter motor
4/ cleaned it all up
Now it starts an absolute treat and drives forward but it
WILL NOT SELECT REVERSE
this after a bit more laughing from reminiscing about said husband ending up in garden, we realised he was actually trying to reverse originally when the reverse gear stopped working and launched him into the garden.
I have downloaded the manual (last night) and cannot seem to find it in troubleshooting.
Where do I start looking for the answers?
Does anyone have experience in this happening? I'm sure it must be common.
If you look under the rear section whilst moving the gear selector, it all looks like it moves together and nothing is hanging free.
I'd appreciate any kind of thoughts on this.
