I am looking at replacing my mowers and wonder if you have any thoughts on the quality of these engines. I seem to be hearing more bad reports on Hondas mower engines & am looking at alternatives. I would expect them to be dear but dont mind paying for quality. I don't know if they make 2 or 4 stroke etc so wasn't sure where to post this. Would also consider Robin or any others you might suggest-I basically don't want "made in China" Redeye
kawasaki is a good engine along with briggs stratton even tecumseh is ok hope this helps briggs stratton and tecumseh are both usa made and kawasaki i think is foreign made
The Robin engines are still made in Japan and if you notice that most hire companies are using them on equipment. China will still take about another 4-5 years before they will get it right with the production of engines and equipment.
The Kawasaki/Yamaha engines are also good quality as well.
