Hello ODK History Lovers

The venerable Villiers 98cc Midgets were the engine mainstay
of many horticultural, agricultural, industrial, and leisure
equipment manufacturers of the 1940s, '50s, and '60s.

The Villiers Midget MK1 originated in the interwar years and
it was clearly a successful design for automotive and other uses.
But it was the post-war Midgets that would augment Villiers’ reputation.

This article discusses the Mk 2 and Mk 3 Midgets that appeared
on-mass, post-war on Australian and New Zealand shores.

The first engines were British-made but Villiers (Australia) would begin
local manufacture in the mid-1950s.

Below is a recorded Specification Document for Australia. It appears
genuine and I have added a couple of entries.

PART TWO - Villiers UK Engine Manual[size:14pt][/size]
This is an early post-war, Midget Operator and Parts List and it dates to about 1950.
This was when Midgets were imported to Australia for use on Australian-made machinery.

PART THREE – Manual – AUS Midget Engines
This Operator and Parts Manual was produced by Villiers Australia
to cover the locally built Villiers Midgets.

This manual is from my collection and it is in good condition.
As always, I make it available to members for viewing or as a
quality download.
