I'm trying to locate somewhere I can get piston rings for my whipper snipper. No old motors left at the tip> I have no model number on the snipper but i/m sure it;s a 30cc or 28cc.. I've measured the sleeve diameter of the motor and it 's 28mm. The local shop will only supply sthl stuff. Can i use a ring off a sthl motor of same size?. if not know where to get rings from, I run into dead ends, ,I did find one contact but they wanted about $50 which seemed a bit rough.
hope theres some help out there, the missus is getting grumpy at the gardens edges

Ok I have a new piston and ring in stock and the cost would be $38.50. This will suit SCORPION TRIMMER it has no clutch and the starter is on the shaft side.

If the machine is a Lawn Hornet then it is a 31cc machine and the part number is 684449 and I have not got one of those sorry but maybe a second hand one I could track down.
