I just picked up this mower but can't place its name. It probably used to have a name plate where the hole in the base is, I don't know. It says MTD on the engine, does this mean it is an MTD? mtd 18" cut, i have sold a few of these over the years, never been totally satisfied with the quality of the cutting deck or the cloth catcher with a plastic top.

That's an Old American "Murray" Design.. As MrMcKay Said, It's a pretty poor design.. Cheaply made and very few baffles so poor airflow and collecting ability.
