I'm after the charging wiring diagram of a Briggs & Stratton 8 HP 191707 2164 01.

Hi Don, welcome to Outdoorking. Here is the Operator's Manual for your engine: http://bsintek.basco.com/BriggsDocumentDisplay/msozHP-K_ny7tH217FzoPu.pdfHere is the Illustrated Parts List for it: http://bsintek.basco.com/BriggsDocumentDisplay/Z6nlxBVJ1DajI.pdfYou will notice that the wiring diagram you are looking for does not exist: there are 4 different alternators optionally fitted to your engine, and its charging circuit only consists of a pair of wires with a diode in series with one of them. I'm guessing that the wiring diagram you are looking for will be for the ride-on, not for the engine. If you give us details of the ride-on, we can see whether we have a manual for it.

Thanks Grumpy, I have both of those by an internet search. My ride on is a Greenfield Tractor 11 but now fitted with an 8HP. I havent been able to find a manual for it.

We only have one wiring diagram for a Greenfield: an Evo 3 Mk 2. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2014/09/full-2772-17468-greenfield_evo_3_mk_2_wiring_diagram.png) It's pretty uncomplicated, and is probably much the same as yours.

Thanks grumpy,
It's a bit more upmarket than mine with an hour meter, seat switch etc., but it puts me on the right track.
Thanks again, Don.

Don, I feel sure your mower had a seat switch when it was new, but it seems a lot of owners remove them. I agree that the hour meter came a bit later though - as far as I know the earlier Greenfields did not have them.
There is an Illustrated Parts List for your machine in the manuals section of this site.

Grumpy, I couldn't find the Manuals Section on the site. Could you point me to it?
Thanks Don

You're welcome, Don. If you have problems making your repairs, just post them here - most likely somebody will be able to help.
