Just keep you eye out on eBay they do come up from time to time.
You just have to wait and be patient and just have a lot of dollars behind you when they come up,they don't come cheap. At all.
Good luck in you hunt.
Here's a picture of what bunipper is searching for. This was the last one I seen on eBay it was pulled off before the end of auction. Not sure why.

Oh yes there rare alright it would be less than 10000 left. It is believed that there was 10000 made, but how many are left now who knows. I always wanted a second one as there one of my favourite mowers, but finding another and then paying for I'm not sure I could go through again. Just for a second one,if I come across another one well that's another story.

That is great news Chris, don't forget to take some 'before' shots at the start of the resto and plenty of pics as you go along as we'd all like to see them. grin
I hope she ends up looking as good as this one. wink

Hi Bunniper and ODK members,

Yes, these are rare and now highly collectable.
The 2a should be considered a transitional machine.

The defects of the first Victas were issues of cooling and the inability
to fold the handle. The 2a was an interim compromise.

Deejay's comments are of particular importance.
You do need to record the changes and choices you make in this restoration.
The benefit will go to the provenance of this particular machine.

We look forward the the progress made on this mower.
Great work Bunniper!

All very interesting.
