Hi, this problem has me stumped. My Homelite 1100w generator starts and runs perfectly from cold. If I stop it and then wait for around a minute, it will restart no problem, if I wait for approx. 3-5 minutes, it will not restart. The engine has to cool right down and then it will restart and run perfectly. The fuel flow is alright and there is a new spark plug in it. Please, can anyone help?

To get us started on your Homelite issue, we need to know a lot more about the machine. As far as I know Homelite does not manufacture anything - my understanding is that they attach their brand to various products after negotiations with independent manufacturers. Please post some pictures of the generator, including close-ups of the identification plate.

Even if (in the worst case) the manufacturer is one of the usual Chinese ones with no brand name known outside China, we should still be able to resolve this, but not without knowing what kind of engine is being used, and what kind of carburetor it has. Hopefully we will be able to work these things out from the photographs you post.
