Thanks guys, I would have put this in "Pictures of antique Equiptment" section but there is only areas for "Hit & Miss" or "Air cooled" engines, the engine number is 36363 so puts it in the 1950 eara, it is 4hp at 1200rpm under load, at 62 degrees at sea level, it was made in Australia by the Toowoomba Foundry Pty Ltd, there were 14,162 YB's made, a 3hp "Y" model from 1935-38 and the 4hp "YB" from 1939-54 as far as I have been able to work out the "3hp Y's" were included in the 14,162. I am yet to find out the weight of the engine as yet, but at a guess would have to be around 200+ KG. Any way Cheers guys.

Hi Jonesy and Ty, I will see if we can get the "Pictures of Antique Equipment" expanded to include diesel and petrol water cooled engines, and then move this thread across.

Thanks IanOZ, as I have seen your web site and also to my suprise found my engine there on the register, I also seen it was recorded as a 53, but after looking at the other engine numbers either side of mine I come to the conclusion that it had to be a 50 model, thanks for the info and will be back to your site for more investigating.
