Hi Darryl, I thought you were referring to the "Tilting" blade feature of the Victa TAC but you're talking about a safety feature?
I checked the Pionex and Victa edgers and they both have a rigid blade on them.
regards, john :)

Hi John, disregard all that mate, I was under the impression that the Pionex had a blade bar with 2 swing back type blades affixed to it.....I didn't study your pic enough. However, re the T-A-Cut, I would suggest a some stage replacing the straight blade with a circular one... Click HERE We have discussed this blade earlier in this thread. They are fantastic!

Thanks Darryl,
I remember you mentioning the disc blade and am really keen to try one out. Also, do you know a Dulux (or any brand) orange colour in a pressure pak that would match the orange on the Victa?
I want to re-paint the handle bars and engine as well, with a black engine enamel I suppose?
cheers, john :)

Hi John, there is a pressure-pak product available from Super Cheap Auto, Auto One, etc. and the colour is called "International Orange" It is very close to the Victa T-A -Cut colour. I presume you are only painting the cowling of the engine black and the handles....if that is the case, Killrust have a gloss black that will do the job nicely (pressure-pak as well) Don't forget to take some pics as you go along, as all members like to see 'em!

Gear start is the last of the full crank engines, the starter is mounted to the side of the engine and runs a plastic gear to teeth on the flywheel.
