Oh wow tomo good work you even found it with it's original white tap.make sure you look after that that piece alone is the rarest part on that model,or should I say the fitting would be.Could I get you to unscrew that fitting and take a picture please? As now someone has found one I'd like to see what they look like.I don't think they are the original back wheels on that. They are similar to the auto drive wheels. Most likely with the teeth not on the inside.

Hey , jeffrey the tap photo was just for you . yeah rear wheels def not original will have to find a set in good condition. i did notice though my wheel caps are red not orange like yours ? the top cover is in good nick too only missing one vent bar. and black trim under starter in tact .
have to find a good filter and throttle housing , think throttle controls you can get after market

Thanks yes it does look like an ordinary white tap just with the brass fitting.I'd just like to see the fitting on it's own so then I could start the search for one no no no I mean two.So that way I put my two to the original way they were.I couldn't before as I wasn't sure exactly how it worked. Now I have a better idea.As far as the caps go I think they were original red but over the years they could have faded.

No there was only the one run of this model. They ran from 1973 to 1974. I've done a VC-Mustang ID post which I have just updated last night. Which shows the different models and how to tell them apart. Your engine (if still the original) should start with 11173 or 11174 depending on year made...and thanks I would appreciate that photo as then I will be able to start the search knowing now what I'm looking for.

Thanks Tomo I'll have to use your pictures for me to add to the search so I can try and locate some. Yes bigted I was all over it. I knew they used the white tap and a brass fitting but I didn't know what they looked liked. Now I do so let's start the search. I think I'll have to find something similar as these parts are really rare to find, but ill give it a go.
