Ok I didn't realise that they could be bored out to 85 thou. I thought they could only go to 80 thou max. I'm not sure you will be able to get rings that big.

? Never heard of a 5 thou increment. 10 thou yes. 20,30 40 60 80 thou. Some engines pistons can have sizes up to 120 thou. Is the marking impressed or etched? 0.85 would seem more appropriate, it may be a part number? or a fitter id number? or maybee they did actually make one...the best thing to do it measure the bore to make certain. is the chamfered lip still on the bottom of the bore this will tell you straight away. If this is the case...Get a new barrel.they are so easy to come by and probaly cost you nothing...:)

Tomo would it be possible to get a good picture of the top of the piston? As it should be stamped on it. Usually it goes up in 10 thousands of an inch, I've never herd of 5 thousands of an inch. I guess that's why I'd like to see a picture if it.

Hmm will be interesting to see this:) As far as Im aware no rings in the intermediate sizes are available anymore. I have A set of old stock 30+ rings and bored barrel to suit that ive had for years, but ive not come across any intermediate NOS or A/M for ages. Good Luck

60' sounds closer,I have a piston with simlar numbers they were etched not stamped, one set of numbers went one direction and the second set went the other way like an L'it was simply a part No. It was etched in black and mine is RP2063 F30 TOP 008 LF So mine I have already measured as 30" The RP2063 is seemingly the Pt No for an A/M Victa 125 Piston,The F60 is for 60" O/S... So Im pretty sure your bore is Cetainly OS 60" which rings are still readily available. A simple measuremnt will clarify 100%

Ok so a STD bore is 2.125 or a shade under 54mm 53.975. So If we add .020 or 0.5mm X3 we should come out with...1.5mm or 60thou. So that comes to approx 55.50mm. Which I reakon is close enough to your 55.36 +60...As +40 would be approx 55.00mm and + 80 would be 56.00mm ...Just recheck it lols...I have been known to be wrong! (About a lot of things)!!!! hahaha
