Hey all just picked up a victa 18, dont know much about the early models can you guys tell me if the engine year matches the base ect.
this engine is a challenge has a wasp nest in it , not in the cylinder either they have made there nest in the crank case.
it also came with a complete spare engine, its cowl and starter.

to me looks like a model 5 series 3 as it has no edger slot and the same as the series 2 with no extensions on the base or axel housings, and the engine number looks about right from what I have read, and is similar to the number on my series 3 probably 59-60 model. she rough but by the time every thing is blasted and cleaned they all turn out the same, the engine is going to require a lot of work though.
cheers.

I can confirm that yes it is a model 5 series 3. The engine number would be correct as well. As they had letters before the numbers. The wasps certainly had fun there, looks like it was a big family.
