I have a power torque I brought not running. So I did carby an all that. When tryin to get it to fire up it would like make a back firing noise an puff smoke out of the decompressor so I changed that an same thing. So I checked the starter o ring an well there wasnt one the only kinda o ring in there was peices of it in the crank case. But also I come across this grey sludge




Would this be water that has gotten in?
Cause I replaced the starter o ring an put it all back together an no go. So at this stage im stumped

That certainly is water that has got into it.I had one similar to that I had to take the head off as it had made it to that side of the combustion chamber.Which in turn stopped it from firing.To much gunk in there as well as the plug.Try cleaning out that and all should be,as well as another o-ring all should be good.

It's not uncommon when they sit outside.You should be right as there doesn't seem to be any rust starting.Thanks to the oil.I think the one I had the water got through the air cleaner tube and in through the carby as the carby had water in it too.

if cleaning all your water contamination out doesn't get it going , ive come across these symptoms leading to worn of jammed piston rings 9 times of of 10 ive found it to be rings.
