Re flywheel nut 0n a 160 victa ,i have been trying to day to get nut loose,but have had people passing by saying that it left hand thread so im all mixed up stop hitting in case im going wrong way ,,Do you have manuals on line? does the nut have a tappered base on it ,what makes me wonder is that i have a old victa ahere some one has had a cold chisel to it and trying to remove nut like hitting the nut in a left hand way thanks graham

Graham, definitely a right hand thread, no ifs or buts, so when trying to loosen it you have to go counter clock wise when looking straight at it.(Obviously for safety reasons you'll have the spark plug lead disconnected). They can be real stubborn at times and hitting it wont get it loose either. If that is the case, load the mower in the boot and go down to your local mechanic or tyre shop and ask them to crack it off with their rattle gun.
