Hi,
My name is craig and I am a new member. I have recently purchased a model 450511 (14" cut).

I was wondering if there were any members in the North Brisbane area (North Lakes) that would consider giving me a few pointers on the running and maintenance of my mower? I would be happy to offer some cash or liquid refreshments for your time. Happy to travel a little for the help. She needs a clean, blades probably need a sharpen and an adjustment?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can someone please confirm if this mower is a model 45 like all the other posts or is it a different one? The model number of 450511 suggests it is a SB45, just want to make sure???

Hi Craig, and a warm welcome to the forum. It is always nice to welcome another Scott Bonnar Model 45 owner on board.
Yes Craig, I can confirm your machine is a 14" Model 45 Scotty and is the twin rail engine deck (2nd generation) with a 2HP Briggs and Stratton and was made by Scott Bonnar, Thebarton, Sth.Australia.
If you can post the completestring of numbers on the metal air cowling of the Briggs; we can tell you the date it was manufactured, which gives us an approximate date of manufacture of the mower chassis as no exact date has been been kept in SB serial number records.
