Oh wow it still has it's catcher.I have never seen one with a catcher.I bet they are not easy to find.Well the mower itself isn't easy let-a-lone one with a catcher. I'm not into these but that's a great find.
Here for a good time, not a long time.

yeh i think she might be a keeper.... the the fact that i thought it had a fresh piston in it through the exaust port inspection, now im starting to think it may be the original .dont wanna go ripping the head off or anything if i dont have to she fires first pull and with a little more fiddleing with the trottle cable spring il have puring all trough the rpm ....the only thing i can pick on it is a small ring from the starter on those last few sputters to a stop ...BUT HEY evryone advertiseing these things are asking 150-200 plus now that a good price for what ive sold older briggs for seviced.!! lucky to get more than a hundred for a victa .. they all recon they run but need a tune i dout they run aswell as this id love to paint her make the outside look as good as the inside but if its one those rare things ill leave her the way she is .. wrap her up and sit on her but if i got 200 bucs for it id be stoked..but id rather get rid of the victas and briggs i got a good rover suzuki if any takers b4 it disapers on ebay gives a beuitiful table flat cut

That Robin engine, in good condition, may be as good as the Suzuki, Kawasaki and Komatsu (Briggs) 2 strokes in the same condition. All of those seem to be sought-after engines. I doubt that the Pope mower around it adds anything much to its value, and yours looks so ratty compared with Ty's that I suspect it would have more appeal restored than it has at present. However I agree that it's better not to take the engine to pieces.
