Finally got around to reinstalling the cylinder and sole plate to my Scott Bonnar lawn king (model 45), started the machine up and the drive shaft to reel chain snapped. Decided to replace all the chains to be safe. Checked my parts list and needed A2984806, A2981385, and A20035, but couldnt find A20035 on the online store or anywhere else for that matter.

Seeing as i have 3 different similar parts lists i checked the other lists and it turns out A2981590 is the same part. so i ordered all 3 from the online store.

In the mean time doing a repaint of the catcher, and will post pics of my machine, in all its glory.

Tezza98,

The correct part numbers for the chains for the model 45 are:

A2981385 Roller Chain
A2984806 Roller Chain
A2981590 Roller Chain

All are on the online store (which you have already found out)and I don't know where you got A20035 as it comes up as an intermediate slow down chain (from old database that I have) and I can not find what it fits as it is not listed on the Rover website database. cheers2

seems like i have a european version of the parts list as well as an australian, the european has the best diagrams, but its looks like some of the parts are numbered different

Hi Tezza, you will find now that most parts for the Scotties that need replacing are manufactured 'after market' and the dealers themselves are changing the part list numbers all the time....Speaking to Bruce, he has explained this is a real problem; especially with so many items in his Online Store. wink
