I have a Victa with the plastic carb, got all the new rubbers and I know it's installed properly but it still won't cut out. The wiring on the coil had come off and I'm wondering if this could be the problem. The black wire stayed on but which way do the brown and green ones go? It still ran with both off, just wouldn't cut out.
I've been thinking about it and it shouldn't matter which way the wires go, should it? And I know the rubbers in the carb are good there brand new. I just did the ones on my tilt a cut, so i know how to do it properly. It's got me stuffed!
The two wires on the coil are different lengths and it should be obvious which way they sit once placed on, all wires need to be connected for the ignition switch to work at all.
Ok, I got it right, but the grey wire came off again. So for anyone with this prob again, the black wire goes to the coil closest to the motor when the coil is fitted. The grey; to the coil closest to the blade plate, and the brown wire separating off of the grey wire, goes to the metal bit in the middle of the coil.
