I have just restored a Jetfast lawn edger, Unfortunately I have no model details, but it is powered by a Victa 160cc engine. My question is: Does anyone have any info on Jetfast edgers or more particularly the blade set-up (it was minus the total blade assy when I got it) Any info would be appreciated. Kindest Regards, Deejay

deejay66, Can you sent me a picture of the machine(just click on moderator) as there is a blade or a wire brush that will fit. I know that I have the blade but would have to check on the brushes. Regards, Bruce ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/board/biggrin.gif)

Would you happen to have any written material on Jetfast regarding the cutting/blade set- up(ie what fits onto the crankshaft)as all mine is missing!!Kindest Regards, Deejay

Hi guys, new member here. I've just bought a jetfast edger on ebay.Manufactured by Bragg industries OZ.It appears in good nick but there's no spark when i pull the cord. Its one of those that has got a fairly heavy disk on one side with metallic cable for edging. There is no model number or anything. Would you guys have any info on it?tks

Leister, Do you know what the engine is on the frame? I think it is either a Techumse or Victa. Can you post a picture and I should know just by looking at it.

Leister, Ok then the motor is a 70's Series Victa. We have information in the parts list and manuals area that will cover the electrical for the machine. The points and condensor are located under the flywheel. :Wavey: You will have a wire going from the flywheel area to the carby. Disconnect this wire so that it does not touch the body of the frame and then check for spark. If you still don't have spark then you will have to go to the points and condensor.

Bruce it started!! runs like a charm. All i had to do to shut it down was to reconnect the wire. Now does this mean there is a short somewhere? Also can the heavy disc and wire cable be swapped for blades? Anyway I am truly grateful for your help.

Leister, Ok you can find the information on the carby in parts list and manuals area. All the problem is from where the cable connects to the carby (the brass lug)as this is the cut out that causes a short so that you don't have spark. As to putting a disc or blade on I need to know what is the shaft size.

Hi Bruce, the shaft looks like its 20mm in diameter but the threaded portion of the shaft is about 12.5mm. Hope that helps.

Leister, The blade is 270mm long with a centre hole of 13mm that should fit your machine.

Leister, The cable is better as it cuts a wider edge.

Darryl, I will see if I can find the manual tomorrow. I only repaired one last week that had the Honda motor on it (about 30 years old). Runs like a dream since I replaced the cutter head bearings nice and quiet.
