With two very generous swaps from fellow members I proudly bring these two fine examples of older machinery together.







In due course both will be restored to new. There is 10 years between them, the older one is very healthy, the one with the bronze coloured engine turned its oil silverish very quickly after I drained years worth of black sludge and refilled with good penrite sae30 oil. I might flush it with something then try once more before ordering a full gasket set.

They are so cool!.Very simple design,these will look great restored Joe,Huge blade guards,almost look like conrete cutters.Near identical even with a 10 year age gap!Something Ive not seen before,Very good score to get two models.Very Interesting Pieces:)What are their ages Joe...60s?

The one with the silver engine I think is 1963? I havent checked the code yet. The other is 1974.

Hi Joe, so glad to here that you are going to fully restore them mate....don't forget to take the pics as you go along, they will be great for the archives mate and a piece of real engineering ingenuity.....

restores arent for a little while, I need to build decent shelving to put completed things on so they do not get damaged/scratched.

wow iv never seen edgers like them in the USofA.

also how big is tha blade that's under that cover? ya wouldn't want to get yous hand caught i that...
