$100 for a complete working mower. How is that a lot of money.
Lightweight/Compact and the Twin/Supreme, they are not common, mechanically they are different, that makes them collectable.
Im not so sure but i might assume that youve been playing with too much old dunga crap. Not that im bagging you, i think its good guys are doing up and preserving history.
Now if you had posted up the not running ES200 Rover with the early post start sprint motor on it that went for $86 the other day, then i would share your concerns.
There are various ways to answer a valid question of someone who seeks accurate information regarding something they are unsure of right?Pancake...as Rodeobob says the 2 are collectable because they arent as common,their vastly different in engine design to the victas that surround them and they are a first or shall we say a semi radical design for their time.Many people collect these so yes their value is a little higher.check the forums so you can understand better,and you will see a bit of info on the lightweight and Twin,check the engines and you will notcie how they were designed to suit the 2 models.For most the Twin is more desirable,but they did have engine...Well some will dispute were unreliable,and the parts surrounding them.Ive owned 2 and they both ran beautifully.As most will state like anything unusual or of short series run mowers or otherwise,will be more expensive.Hope this has helped you understand how some models vary in price....:)
Hi, just found this forum yesterday and discovered that my mower which I've been using for 8 or 9 years is a Lightweight - thanks for the info posted above and in other threads.
I've become quite attached to the mower, so even though the the muffler is busted I would quite like to repair/replace it rather than get a new one. Pulled the muffler off today, the number cast in the top is EN71869A. Noting the comments above about how they are unobtainable, I still have to ask: is a replacement available anywhere?
