Hi

I have the above lawn mower and I have been having some problems with it.

For a start I got it off my brother as he had trouble and in the end bought a new mower. Though I would be smart and get it going.

When I got it home it had no spark, so I got a new one and then I had spark and it started and ran well, thought I had done well!

Next time I went to use it it stared well, then stopped 1/2 way through doing the lawn, no spark.

Talked to the local mower place and ended up taking the coil down and they checked it, said it was faulty and I replaced it. Again thought this was good and again mower started (didn't run really well)and got through 1/2 the lawn and it stopped. No spark again, bugger.

As far as I can see there is not much else it can be. I can see it has a small electronic box. I am also wondering if it has a cut off from the hand control which kills the spark, through the 2 wires going to the carby, which I do not understand at all.

Help please.

Ok is the silver box loose?
If so you will need to replace the screw or pop rivet. Your problem could be a bad earth or the electronic module is faulty.

It is not very often that a coil goes it is usually the module and the replacement cost is about $30-00. :Wavey:

Also what you can do is remove one of the wires in the carby to see if you get spark back.

Silver box is not loose.

I previously took the carby off so 2 wires just dangling and no spark.

I will have a look in the manuals section so I understand a little better.

Failing that will replace the module.

Will let you know how I go.
