I have a Briggs Sprint 375 - model 98902 , my prob is carby related but not as serious as freddy floyds who posted back on 08/11/11 .

Anyway behind the primer there is a tiny little marble that was sitting at the front , the problem then was the primer diaphragm wouldnt pop back out straight away and after 5 or so mins of running under no load (idle) the motor would shut of as if you turned the fuel off !. Now press the primer Diaphragm and it pops back out as it should do normally but when you go and start it it wont start frown I pulled the diaphragm off again and had a look in it and the marble has gone down the cylinder where it was sitting at the front before .
So i come to you all for suggestions , advice and help. Im guessing its not totally screwed and there is some hope . Im not too farmilar with 4 strokes , over the years only really played around with 2 stroke carburetors - G4 style , not too sure about my around 4 stroke carburetors.
Thanks in advance , Oh let me know if photos will help.
Cheers

The little marble you speak of should be behind a rubber O ring thing with a spring infront of it. The little rubber donut thing can be easily removed by screwing in a small plasterboard screw about 3/4 of a turn and pulling it out, be sure to clean out the little cavity in there and reassemble exactly as you disassembled it.

Here are the instructions from one of the Briggs manuals:

Disassemble Carburetor
1. Slide jet screen off carburetor body.
Note: Fixed main jet is not a service part.
2. Press in from both sides of primer bulb cavity to
release retainer tabs.
3. Pry retainer out and remove primer bulb.
4. Remove primer seat using a crochet hook or other
type of hook. Ball and spring will fall out, Fig. 4.
