What you have there is my favorite mower in existence!!!
It's the one that got me started on mowers.

That is a 1972-1973 V111 VC-160, Model VJ72, it's running a series 70 MKII engine, with Decompression 'Zip' Starting, and the Victa G3 Carburetor.

It looks to be in very original condition to me, you have the right spark plug cover, the right starter handle, catch flap lever and fuel cap.

The rear wheels are replacements though by the look of it, they are meant to be 8", without the stripes.

I would personally recommend bringing this one back to it's former glory, they are a Unique mower just to look at, further, they ushered in a new era for Victa, the VC-160 was the first Hi-Arch, and flag-shipped Victa's 'Mow in the Wet' campaign, they also introduced the 'Zip' start engine on the VC-160, and the 'Zip on the do-dah' adds began.

If you need a catcher for it, I should be able to help, I think I might have one here somewhere. They are a unique catcher, that only fits the VC-160, and the VC-125.

 Cheers
 Ty

Wow, thanks. Here's a couple of more pics. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2012/01/full-4857-4845-p1210001_2.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2012/01/full-4857-4846-p1210002_3.jpg) None of the plastics seem brittle or UV affected either, and the rubber snorkel only has a soft spot where it connects to the carby. No cracks!! A catcher? Sounds like I'll be restoring this one, so yeah, if you can, twood be awesome. Cheers! | | |

I'll pull aside a Catcher, the right rear wheels, and the correct roll pin for the lever on the handlebars, and the spring for the lower lip of the back flap. Here's a few threads that may interest you: -REVISED-A detailed rant on the VC-160 -Jeffrey's restorations: The MKII and The MKI - Steve's VC-160

Now now..... hahah..... don't go fighting over it boys! hahaha
I'll give it a try with a new plug when I get time.

Thanks anyway. What do the proper wheels look like anyway? I've got a bit of a stack of wheels here.

I wondered if the back flap, I'm guessing it's the little bit you're talking about, was supposed to be spring loaded.

 Cheers.

Well there you go, i learned something.
How many of em have i got here??? Can you tell they arent mine. lol.

Perhaps thats why just about every victa ive seen through here has a sticler on it saying what the go is with the tap. Because they did it one why for 5 years then changed and had to spell it out for the next 30 odd.
