Not as funny as some Jobs, but still looks a little odd!

Enjoy!

Hey Jeffery....I think you meant "bodgy" but boogie-woogie is pretty appropriate!! What we mean by "Tenants Improvements" is referring to any modifications carried out by any former owners, some very improvisational, some not so!! In other words, some good, some.....well we'll leave that up to you to decide!! devilchilli lol

This one is not a bad job, Just an interesting one, I'm starting to notice quite a few odd and interesting home jobs when at Tiny's, some of them funny, some of them, like this one, might even help somone out!

Cheers

That looks like a 5hp quantum. Im tipping the tubing should be a bit bigger for it to work effectively as a sports exhaust.

Not a bad job, bit of a shame they didnt stand the motor up vertical, that way they could have kept the pipe in closer to the engine.

For the time and effort involved surely a muffler of another quantum would not have been that hard to find.

Its a talon muffler fitted on the end, not bad work but I wouldnt sell a mower with a mod like that.

I agree with that Joe - it is overhung much too far from its attachment to the cylinder, in both planes. Vibration or casual clouts are likely to damage the attachment to the cylinder.

Probably still more effective that the pipe through to the catcher one i saw a while back, but defiantly not built for rugged longevity.

I'm personally not a fan of the 90 degree bend, I know it's effects would not be that pronounced, but just not something i would be happy having that sharp.

Like the catcher muffler, this one is a home job I wont be buying, unlike my new friend wood-wheel!

Cheers
