I need a belt for one of these and can't find anything that's similar it's a v belt. Also how do the clutches on these work? Are the centrifugal?

Michael, I don't see a manual for your mower in the manuals section, and I'm not familiar with it. If you can post some pictures of the mower overall, and the areas where the belt and clutches go, either a member will recognise it and answer your questions, or we'll go through the process of how to measure the belt, and work out what the clutches do the hard way. It all starts with the pictures, unless Bruce has a manual that he can upload.

Meanwhile you might check this thread: https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/u...&Words=centrifugal&Search=true#Post18930Qualcast is now one of the ATCO brands, and ATCO in turn is owned by Bosch. If necessary you can contact ATCO with questions. However that may not be necessary. Can you show us a picture of the belt and the pulleys it runs on? So far as clutches are concerned, at least a couple of British mowers have used a centrifugal clutch to (hopefully) stop the reel, or cylinder, when the engine is idling. Since your mower is one of those types, it does sound as if it has a centrifugal clutch on the reel. It should have a hand clutch on the rear roller, to control forward propulsion.

For the belt simply take it to a belt machinery supply store will be able to measure it and give you a suitable replacement.
The engine is a suffolk? english thing mattyvt93 on youtube has one, I could maybe try and get him to come here and help you but if i cant look up his channel and search his videos.

Hi Michael, yes mate, the engine is definitely a 'Suffolk', Qualcast is British mower manufacturer absorbed into ATCO as grumpy has said. What a ripper of a machine....would like to see a vid of ot in operation when you get the belt fixed mate!
