I notice alot of VC Auto Drives from the early 1970s get their self propelled gear disconnected. One guy I know said something about plastic teeth wearing out on them. What does anyones else here say about it?
Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

Mowerfreak, I am assuming that he is talking about the teeth in the wheels not the gearbox. As the wheels are plastic and the drive is metal the plastic wears first causing the wheel to jam. Regards, Bruce ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking.com.au/board/biggrin.gif)

Oh yeah,i know what you mean.i have seen the wheels with those spokes on the outer side and the teeth on the inner part. maybe Victa should have pressed a metal insert in there!
