I'm repairing a FS36 for a neighbor and am uncertain of the fuel mix. There is no ratio printed anywhere on the unit including on the fuel cap. Stihl's official manual states a ratio of 50:1. However that manual is for a 2011 FS36, not a 1995 one like mine. I have had a similar experience with a Partner B250 (the website manual said 40:1, labels on the unit were 25:1. My B250 was about 25 years old.)

When the fuel mix isn't printed I always run it on 25:1 but it seems to be going too sluggish. Any help would be much appreciated.

Ring Stihl, I bet they say to use their "Special" synthetic oil at a 50:1 ratio. Or if you don't want to pay the exhorberant price and use normal good oil, you will need to mix at 25:1

(sorry i don't know how to spell exhorberant)

cheers
