hello, I have an issue with this mower as thz "ZIP start" does no longer drive the motor shaft. Apparently the two alluminium "U" are worn out. How/ where can we find replacement parts? In belgium we can not locate and apparently according to the manufacture they are no longer available. Could you help, either with part specification, I can perhaps manufacture them myself, or with parts? Rgds Jimmy

Jimmy, We can supply the parts but I would suggest that you replace item 24 as well because if the starter has been slipping I am sure that you have damaged the cup. Just e-mail us under spare parts and we will quote you the replacement price. Regards, Bruce ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/board/biggrin.gif)

Thanks Bruce, I just logged a request for price quote for the parts. The nextquestion is I will have to clean, maintain the Carby, would you have documentation on the subject? The motor is a two cylinder version of the VC160. If I have to replace the Spark plug what model is currently the best, we have non laeded fuel here, the mixture fuel / oil what mixture would you recommend, oil quality etc..
Thanks again for prompt reply. Jimmy

jimmy, PLEASE READ1. Go to Victa Forum. 2. LOOK AT TOPICS. 3. You will see one on Carby's. 4. Click on topic. 5. Click on link for old carby's G3 Information will then come up on screen and you can print it. In reply to spark plugs I only use NGK. That model runs on a 25 to 1 ratio. jimmy, I use a product call carby cleaner you can get that sort of thing from your local car parts supplier but most people just use petrol and fine wire to clean the jets. Bruce, With the carby doc you supplied I have now understood the principle of the governor and cleaned it. The moving contact part 27-28-29 were cleaned and reassembled and checked with for conductivity and non conductivity they are OK. after that I checked the magneto lead alone ( not connected to the switch) . Their seems to be an issue with it... In the carby section N figure N13 Model G3 governed Carburettor 1968-1972 version. When I check the cut-out lead comming from the magneto it is permanently in connection with the chassis ground. Is this correct?
If so how to access the magneto.. what caution to we have to take and so on ..
I am missing some documentation on this too. Regards Jimmy

High Bruce, I got everything checked with the documents I did found on the magneto on your site. The VC160 is again up and running and the first test will be with tree leaves... and in spring the first lawn.
Thanks for the profesionalism of yopur team , I shall recomend your group aroundme when they have issues that can't be solved locally.
I wich the whole group a happy Xmass and a Happy new year. Take care. Best regards Jimmy
