this mower has started running almost flat out and doesn't respond to throttle control.should I look at removing carby and cleaning as there doesn't seem to be any other adjustments. Have cleaned out tank and tap seems OK, also checked hole in cap.Does anyone have manual for this model with plastic carby. thanks Keith

Keith, 1. Have you taken the starter off at any time? 2. Have you checked the 'O' ring on the cylinder where the carby mounts? 3. Have you checked the exhaust port for blockage? Check these first before we go any further. Regards, Bruce

Thanks once again Bruce, Have replaced starter o ring, carby manifold o ring (after 2 wrong sizes)and motor runs with a little adjustment but still not right. I couldn't remove exhaust, after removing top and bottom clips it was holding pretty tight and thought I might break it. regards, Keith

keithburg, I would suggest getting a new muffler and that would fix your problem. You should be able to get one on e-bay for a good price. Regards, Bruce
