I have a Makita 2510 whippy with the robin 2stroke engine. Halfway through a job this morning it starting revving out to blazes, I was able to finish the job but it is running too high - any ideas? or links to a manual for the current robin 25cc 2 stroke?

Here is the Makita RBC2510 owner manual: http://www.retrevo.com/search/v2/jsp/mytrevo/myTrevo.jsp?page=manI doubt that it has a governor. It seems more likely to be a problem with the throttle cable sticking, or the clutch not engaging. However I stand to be corrected. (I've never actually found a governor on a tiny 2 stroke engine - usually their lousy scavenging limits their high speed performance sufficiently to keep them from bursting. The port timing is set in the first place to give the desired performance.)
